I’ll admit that I am not Diem’s biggest fan, but I’d really like to see CT win a challenge. He is one of the strongest cast members to ever set foot on a challenge so it is a little surprising to me that he’s never won. He made it to the end of the first two Infernos, but both times he was on the losing team.
Out of all of the couples on Battle of the Exes, I think CT & Diem have more history than anyone else. This may be their downfall.
There is another problem with their relationship. They haven’t really talked since The Duel 2 when CT freaked out on Adam. Not only will they have to learn to compete as a team, they will also have to learn to communicate as just teammates and not lovers. I think this poses a challenge for the duo, but I know CT can handle a challenge. Diem on they other hand may not be able to. She is known to crumble under pressure.
This team definitely is a fan favorite, and I wouldn’t mind them winning. The fact that other people have criticized CT has never hurt his performance, but people may look for any weakness in the relationship and try to magnify it to create tension between the two. I hope the two of them are prepared to deal with other people on the cast. Most people on the cast are able to forgive past mistakes, but they can’t forget them. And what they can’t forget will definitely be a topic of conversation.
CT and Diem have personal challenges that they over come, but they can work well as a team if they can set aside their differences. I think they have a strong chance of winning if they can ignore others and leave their past in the past.
