Team Fresh Meat has gotten a very rocky start. Because of their late arrival, it seems like every other team will find any excuse to toss them into The Arena.
Most of the teams show Fresh Meat no respect, and this week things went from bad to worse when half of the team was eliminated. Now, Eric and Camila are there by themselves. Can they make it to the end?
Camila has won one of these, but Eric has not. We all know what happened last time he made it to a final challenge, but he has slimmed down since The Gauntlet 3. Just take a look at this picture of him from 2009:
The Eric was have now has clearly done something right.
While I do think he has been working out, his performance in the challenges has been off to a rocky start. He disqualified himself from the first and third challenges, resulting in his team facing elimination rounds both times. Despite his lackluster challenge performance, his performance in The Arena has been stellar. Both times he was sent in he eliminated his opponents.
The fact of the matter is that in this game you don’t have to win the challenges. There’s no money attached to a challenge victory. If you can win in The Arena, that’s enough to let you spend another day in Turkey.
I think Eric and Camila are going to face a very difficult road ahead of them. I don’t think they will have a strong performance in challenges, but they may be able to win in The Arena.
