Another Challenge baby is on the way. Real World St. Thomas alumna, 5-time Challenger, and Final Reckoning finals Marie Roda recently revealed she’s expecting, and from the looks of it, she’s been keeping this secret for a while.
Her announcement came during a meetup in New York that was filled with other Challenge royalty. Veronica, Shane, Jemmye, and Ryan all met with the mother-to-be.
We don’t know all the details yet — like her expected due date — but her announcement discussed “strong women” and the those who “raise them,” so it seem she’s having a girl. However, the comments make it seem like other Challengers were in on the secret before the rest of the world knew.
Marie received words of support from her Final Reckoning partner Cara Maria and other friends like Kailah, Kam, Amanda, and Jenna… even Bananas shared his excitement. Some cast members like Kayleigh joked that they were surprised that Marie was able to keep this a secret for so long. Of course, these corny jokes were all in good fun.
This is very exciting for Marie and for the next generation of Challengers. Let’s hope that Momma Marie gets her chance to get back on The Challenge and show that she can still compete and that handling a house of crazy Challengers prepared her for motherhood.
It’ll be very exciting to see the baby once she arrives and Marie is ready to introduce her to the fandom.
