Filming for Challenge 39 has wrapped, but some competitors are already thinking about season 40. And to our surprise, the first tweet about the season comes from someone who hasn’t competed in a decade.
Frank Sweeney teased fans with his interest in the show.

The last time we saw Frank really compete, he was winning eliminations on Free Agents — then he was medically disqualified from the show. Before that, he was in the Rivals 2 final and he won Battle of the Seasons.
That last point is quite important because there have been discussions that season 40 will be an all-winners season, just like Survivor 40 was. It’s also rumored to be the final installment to air on MTV — at least, that’s what production is telling the cast.
So, this might be enough to convince Frank to return. Maybe he wants to give the show one last hurrah before it leaves the network. Or, he may want to defend his legacy against the other champions.

The last time we saw Frank, he was on Vendettas as a mercenary, and he lost to Brad. While he really had no incentive to win that match, it was the only time he ever lost. If we look at his real Challenge career, he’s one of the few people who has technically never lost an elimination (at least now when it mattered).
At this point, everything regarding season 40 is speculative, but it’s exciting to see Frank might be involved, especially if it’s an all-winners season or a season focused on winners. At this point, there are very few male members of the LGBTQ+ community who are champs. Beyond Frank, we’ve got Tyler and Dan Renzi in the winners’ circle. Frank would be an exciting return on the show, and it would make sense for production to reach out to him so they have a diverse cast of badass competitors.
