The Challenge: USA is back on primetime TV, but this season is off to a slower start.
Episode 1 received 1.82 million viewers and a 0.29 rating in the 18-49 demographic. This is roughly 500,000 viewers fewer than the debut episode of The Challenge: USA 1, and the rating is down by 0.12 points.
The episode was preceded by the first Thursday episode of Big Brother 25. It was viewed by 2.93 million viewers with a 0.53 rating in the 18-49 demo. This was BB’s lowest-rated episode of the season so far.
This is not a great start, but it’s also not a surprise to see numbers drop. All TV shows are facing declines, and The Challenge is heavily dependent on its lead-in, Big Brother. If that show is down in the ratings, The Challenge will be too.
