Big T is gone, and the cast is divided, but more divisions are coming.
A Ripe Romance
Moriah and Olivia start talking, and Moriah realizes that she doesn’t want to be romanticly involved with Bananas. However, she doesn’t want to call him and break up over the phone because the thought of ending things in that fashion upsets her. While she understands the conundrum, Olivia is now questioning Moriah’s role in this game. Apparently, she’s smitten with James and Zara is her new BFF, so her priorities aren’t with the US cast members.
The Sticking Point
The challenge is called Doom Sticks, and it’s three mini-challenges played with seven pairs of two (and one team of three). The first is called Speed Sticks, and it’s a relay race to transfer five sticks across a field, with the opportunity to sabotage other teams. It’s played until there is only one team remaining. Many people don’t want to play a sabotage-based game, but some people start to sabotage Kyland & Michele because they don’t want Kyland to win. This results in Kyland & Michele losing, eliminating them from the game. The trio of Asaf, Ravyn, and Zara wins and they have to eliminate two more teams, so they cut James & Melissa and Ed & Colleen.
Event two is called Power Sticks. The teams have to run back and forth down the field and collect heavy sticks in a sled — five total, one stick per lap. Apparently, this gets really heavy. Berna has injured her groin, so she’s worried, but Jay & Moriah can’t move the sled once it gets heavy. This puts them in last place, so they’re eliminated, and unsurprisingly the only team of three wins. The trio must eliminate two more teams, so Horacio & Nurys and Corey & Olivia are out.
The final game is called Pick Up Sticks. The teams have to carry a stick that looks like a barbell. Attached is a hook, teams must use the hook to collect 3D puzzle pieces, one at a time, and transfer them across the field. Once they have all the pieces, they must use them to make a cube. The trio gets a slow start because they have a hard time moving in union to hook the pieces, and Emanuel & Berna collect all of their pieces first. But, they can’t solve the puzzle and the trio comes from behind and pulls out the win.
Mama Drama
After Asaf, Ravyn, and Zara win, they deliberate to nominate one girl for elimination, but the result is obvious — Melissa is going in again. After hearing the news, Kyland mentions that Asaf’s wife will be upset that he made a promise to a mother (Melissa) and went back on his word. Asaf is furious that Kyland would mention his mother (even though he didn’t), and yells at Kyland. The cast is surprised by the fight, but Kyland is making it clear that his loyalties aren’t with the US alliance.
Emanual’s Other (Other) Girl
The cast goes to the club, and Melissa confronts Asaf, but the real drama is caused by Emanuel. He’s dancing with Olivia, and then cuddling with Ravyn, but Colleen is the one who gets hurt. Before that evening, she had been flirting with Emanuel. She confesses that they had multiple “intimate” moments off-screen. And, to make matters worse, this was because Emanuel had a girlfriend at home. Colleen feels betrayed and regrets getting involved with Emanuel.
Loyalty or Liability
Before deliberation, two names are being discussed: Moriah and Colleen. While people in the US alliance don’t have strong connections with Colleen, they’re worried because Moriah is making her own alliances. Colleen has never betrayed anyone, and she has no reason not to remain loyal to her US friends. However, at the deliberation, Colleen’s name gets said by the majority of people. So, Colleen and Melissa will be going into The Arena.
Changing Games and Relationships
At The Arena one of the “greatest players” is brought out to take out a contender: Tori. She pulls Melissa’s pole at the draw, so the UK veteran is finally going into elimination and she’ll be competing in Going Under. However, Tori also reveals some information from home. Bananas has heard about Moriah’s relationship with James and is heartbroken.
Tiling the Tub
In the elimination, the competitors are in tanks of water. At the bottom, there’s a grid and tiles with patterns. Above the tank is a puzzle key, but the competitors will need to pull it down to see the pattern and recreate it underwater. Immediately, Tori develops a number scheme to memorize the placement of pieces. Meanwhile, Melissa starts to panic. She hates swimming and puzzles, and she starts swallowing water. Kyland tries to help keep Melissa calm, but Tori calls for a check. She’s wrong, but Melissa is still far behind. Then, Tori calls for another check and she wins. Melissa is going home, and Tori is stealing $10,000.
