On All Stars, to understand the present, we need to look at the past. These are the moments from episode 4 that add context to the show. If you want to watch the full episode, stream it on Paramount+.
1. Friends Voting Against Friends

At the beginning of the episode, Nicole (of all people) discusses Cara Maria’s decision not to vote Rachel into elimination. Kam is upset that Cara wouldn’t support her real friend — and the duo were quite the force when they worked together on War of the Worlds 2. They both made the final, though Kam was purged and Cara was runner-up.
2. An Inferno 3 Moment

The daily challenge is called “Unbraided: Reloaded.” The name is a nod to Unbraided, the first daily Challenge on The Inferno 3. Of course, All Stars kicks it up a notch by dangling the ropes off the side of a truck and adding a maze. This is why Cara Maria mentions that Ace did this challenge back in the day.
3. The Mean Girls Stick Together

TJ reveals that there are two losing teams and the middle group (Averey, Brandon, Jasmine, Jay, and Tina) needs to vote for two girls from the losing teams. Immediately, Jasmine toys with the idea of sending in Veronica and Rachel — but Tina pushes back. Tina is close with those two girls, a relationship that really blossomed on Battle of the Sexes 2 and was solidified on The Inferno 2. But, Jasmine insists that these girls would never help her if they remained as a unit in the game.
4. Battle Within a Season

Five girls are eligible to be voted into elimination: Cara Maria, Flora, Nicole, Rachel, and Veronica. Suddenly, Brandon feels like voting in Cara Maria because he wants to vote for the strongest players. However, this upsets Cara because she thought Brandon was close to her. Brandon met Cara Maria on Fresh Meat 2 and the two have done five prior seasons together. The last time they were on the show, they were eliminated from Battle of the Seasons as part of team Fresh Meat during Knot So Fast.
5. It’s an Ax Toss

We see Rachel and Cara Maria playing Star Slice, and this is a new game. It’s essentially an ax-throwing competition, and unsurprisingly, both girls suck at it. It’s a semi-random game, just like the ax-throwing portion of USA 2. Maybe this is what production wanted.
6. Starget

After beating Rachel, Cara Maria has two stars, and she has to give one away — akin to the keys on The Island. Cara gives the second star to Jasmine as a strategic move, because now Jasmine has a target. When Cara was voted into elimination by Jasmine, she felt betrayed. While both girls have done multiple seasons together, and both have been perpetual underdogs, we haven’t seen a whole lot of them working together.
