On All Stars, to understand the present, we need to look at the past. These are the moments from episode 11 that add context to the show. If you want to watch the full episode, stream it on Paramount+.
1. The One

The end is near, but cast members know there will only be one winner. While the remaining players are divided between star-holders and non-star-holders, there’s a moment of deja vu for Cara Maria and Leroy. They both played the Vendettas final, and there was only one winner — and it ended up being Cara Maria.
2. The Eleventh Hour

At the very last minute, TJ announces he has two more stars. So, the top male and female at the daily Challenge will get to partake in the final. This is like The Island, where there was one final opportunity to secure a key — but the people who have their stars get to relax by an RV rather than compete.
3. The Final Chance

Before the Star Born challenge, Flora bows out because her body is hurting, so Averey, Laurel, Ryan, Derek, and Adam are competing for stars. This is a familiar feeling for Derek and Ryan, as both of them have been eliminated right before the final — Derek on Battle of the Seasons and Ryan on Fresh Meat 2. But, it’s especially familiar for Ryan who went home penniless while rowing in the water, just like his end on The Island.
4. Road Rules: The Final

TJ shows up to take the eight finalist to the last race, and he pulls up in an RV. Of course, this is a throwback to Road Rules or to Road Rules: All Stars, which is technically the first season of The Challenge.
5. Half Way There

The eight-star holders get to the final, and TJ announces there will only be four people in the race by the next morning. Of course, this is akin to Vendettas where eight people started the race and four people made it to stage two. But, this final will be different because there will be multiple checkpoints. Some will be “advantage” checkpoints and others will be “elimination” checkpoints.
6. A Shot At Winning

The first check point of the final is called “Shooting Stars” and competitors are strapped to the top of a car and need to shoot star targets with paintballs. Paintballs have been used in competitions before, and Veronica might be familiar with it. They were seen on Twist And Shoot on The Inferno and High Noon on Battle of the Sexes 2. Meanwhile, being atop a moving car is a fairly new element to the game. We saw it on Bomb Squad on Total Madness and Turning Agents on Spies, Lies and Allies.
7. A Shocking Elimination

The next checkpoint is called Electric Star, and the person who comes in last will be eliminated. The cast has to move an electric ring around a metal star as quickly as possible, and if the metal touches, you’ll get shocked. We’ve seen electricity in the game before, but it’s fairly uncommon. The episode flashes back to Blind Leading the Blind on Rivals 2, but other shocking challenges include Painfully Wrong on Final Reckoning, Captain’s Chair on The Inferno 3, and Electro Shock on Battle of the Sexes 2.
