The 40th season of The Challenge is on the way. The Challenge: Battle of the Eras will debut on Wednesday, Aug. 14, at 8 p.m.

As we know, this season features 40 players spread across four teams divided into “eras” which are dependent on when the person debuted on The Challenge. At least, the players start in these teams of 10.
We know this season is going to be long, but there will be many eliminations along the way, and unlike season 39, the players will be competing for $1 million again. However, one thing has changed. The jerseys are now provided by TYR (a brand that’s been on spinoffs) rather than Under Armor.
It seems like MTV wants to make this an event. The season will also have a preshow one week prior to the premiere on Wednesday, Aug. 7.
