It seems Battle of the Eras may have taken its toll on some of the current Challenge mainstays. In a recent Instagram Q&A, Tori hopes to take a break before her next Challenge season.
To be clear, this is not a retirement announcement. It’s just a statement that she wants some time off.
Right now, season 41 is in its early pre-production phases, but producers may have asked cast members if they’re interested in competing. This may have prompted Tori to reconsider doing back-to-back seasons.
A few days before answering this question, Tori was in Amsterdam filming the Battle of the Eras reunion. We don’t know what happened there, but we do know Tori has been a part of drama in more recent episodes. It’s possible the reunion resurfaced some sour feelings from the season.
We know other cast members get fatigued doing back-to-back seasons. Bananas felt this after Total Madness, and Kaycee had similar feelings after Battle of the Eras. Tori has done a lot of appearances in recent years, particularly when she did Ride or Dies, the World Championship, and USA 2 within months of each other.
However, the show hasn’t filmed a full season since season 40, which wrapped in June 2024. “Break” could mean anything — she could be on a break right now and reappear for season 41. But it wouldn’t be a shock if she didn’t return for the next season of the Challenge.
