Challenge: Battle of the Eras

The Challenge Battle of the Eras: Top Moments from Episode 15

The top moments from episode 15 of Battle of the Eras.

It’s been two weeks, but we are so back… except for Josh, he’s really gone.

Tunnel Visionless

The cast finds themselves in an eerily quiet forest in Vietnam until TJ emerges from a hole in the ground to introduce the challenge called Tight Quarters. The cast will be crawling through a section of the Cu Chi Tunnel where there are bats, rats, spiders, and fire ants. Competitors must navigate through sections of the system, and at their first break, they’ll solve a slider puzzle to collect puzzle pieces. Then, they emerge from the tunnel and run to another segment. They’ll navigate through it with their puzzle pieces until they get to the end, solve their final puzzle, and stop their time. Aviv, Jenny, and Michele have targets, and Aviv also has a 2-minute penalty from losing the prior challenge. Tori goes into the tunnel first and she’s surprised by how dark it is, as is Bananas. But, Tori zooms through the final puzzle while Bananas times out at the 30-minute mark because he doesn’t realize there are double-sided pieces.

The Lost, Losers, and Winners

The cast continues to run through the tunnels, and surprisingly, Cory is a bit of a puzzle master. Meanwhile, Aviv is crawling through the tunnel and takes a shockingly long time. Turns out, she broke through a barrier made of sticks and started exploring a different segment of tunnel. As such, she emerges off course and run in a completely wrong direction. Allegedly, she “broke the rules” and is disqualified. Then, we get a montage of competitors completing the course, and Kyland moves with alarming speed, as do Jenny and Rachel. However, Rachel can’t figure out the double-sided puzzle. Obviously, Aviv lost with her disqualification, but Tori and Kyland come out victorious. For the men, Bananas is the only man who couldn’t solve the puzzle, so he’ll be penalized at the next challenge.

Michele’s Birthday Wish

Even though she didn’t win the daily Challenge, Michele is feeling good. Kyland is the winner, and she feels safe with him in power. This is a blessing, because it’s the eve of her birthday, and she won’t have to go into the Arena on the day itself. Instead, Derek, Cara Maria, and Tori throw her a celebration. Notably, Tori dresses as Devin since Michele’s boyfriend can’t be there to celebrate with her. It’s all smiles at this party, but Bananas’ Angels are in the other room sulking because they foresee an Aviv vs. Jenny Arena meaning an Angel will fall.

The Chamber, But It’s Just a Formality

Kyland plans on keeping Michele safe, but the Chamber must go on anyway. Aviv says she would feel much more comfortable competing against Michele, but she knows that Jenny is most likely going to the Arena. Tori tries to stir up some drama by asking who Johnny would save if he had hypothetically had to assign targets, but they don’t take the bait. Jenny and Aviv would rather keep the peace, even though that seals their fate of facing each other in the Arena.

Caged Angels

We head to the Arena and we see a circle, a 10-pound red ball, and a triangle-shaped cage. We get the expected Aviv vs. Jenny match up and the game is called Iron Triangle. The goal is to get to the red ball, throw it over the wall of the cage and make it land in the bounds of the circle. Whoever scores two points first wins. In the first heat, Jenny reaches the ball first, throws it outside of the cage, but it lands out of bounds. The second heat is more successful for Jenny who scores her first point. In the third heat, Aviv literally jumps on Jenny’s back, but Jenny maintains composure. However, she throws the ball out of bounds. Finally, in the fourth heat, Jenny scores her second point and wins.

Saved By and Angel

With her victory, Jenny has the power to assign targets. Kyland is off the table, so there are only four potential targets. Obviously, Jenny wants to keep Bananas safe, so she gives the targets to Cory, Derek, and Jordan.
