All Stars is back, and it’s found a new home on MTV. If you skipped the episode (or you’re not willing to pay to access it), here are the top five moments from the debut episode.
25 All Stars and an All Star Theme

The cast is in Vietnam, and the cast members are slapped in the face with a Rivals theme. Some people are pissed off by their partners — Adam wouldn’t even talk to Steve and Turbo claimed he showed up on this season to send Nany home. In other cases, people are kind of excited by their teammates, like Dario who believes Ashley K. is still kind of hot. Once all the duos are announced, Katie is standing up there by herself. Apparently her partner couldn’t even show up (but we all know it’s Veronica).
Married to Your Partner

Coming into the season there are two teams with immense tension. Turbo isolates himself as soon as he gets into the house, which is frustrates Nany, but the bigger issue is between Beth and Jonna. Beth chats with Shane, and he thinks Beth’s problem is violating “unspoken rules” among cast members, particularly regarding personal boundaries. Meanwhile, Jonna is really concerned with this partnership because she feels Beth tried to destroy her marriage on All Stars 3. When the two finally talk, Beth begins by apologizing for losing her cool that season, but Jonna felt that Beth’s actions were disproportionately malicious. Beth claims she wanted to hurt Jonna’s game in any way, but Jonna feels Beth hurt much more than her game.
The Perfect Repair

Turbo is sitting outside, claiming he’s uncomfortable and it’s too cold indoors. Nany wants to talk to him, but he’s resistant. Eventually, they relocate to chat and Nany remembers working well with Turbo on War of the Worlds 1, but on War of the Worlds 2, he was an entirely different person. She thinks the two can win this season if they work together, and Turbo doesn’t deny this. He also doesn’t really engage with Nany. He just sips his water and nods his way through the conversation.
The Race Begins

The cast gets to the first challenge, and Veronica shows up to be Katie’s partner. TJ reveals that you need a star to run in the final, and the top teams in this challenge, Frenemies, will get the stars. It’s a race with three checkpoints; first, they need to transport mud to fill up a bucket to a certain point. Then, teams need to transfer ice cubes using tongs to raise a ball in water . Finally, they need to use a gurney to transfer four balls without the balls rolling off. Faysal & Amber take an early lead while other teams like Frank & Sam struggle in the mud. Meanwhile, Ashley & Dario get to the ice transfer where Dario takes control and it turns Ashley on. Adam & Steve are the first team to the gurney carry, and it seems this obstacle is quite manageable because they get through it with relative ease.
The Rules and Worries of the Game

Adam & Steve come in first, Leroy & Devin come in second, Dario & Ashley come in third, and Nany & Turbo narrowly come in fourth. Then, TJ sounds the horn. We don’t have a last-place team, nor do we know how the elimination contenders will be selected. The teams don’t seem too concerned with that — they’re thinking of the end of the season. They’re wondering if the prize money will be split or if one person will have the chance to take it all like Bananas did on Rivals 3.
