All Stars Rivals: Top Moments from Episode 3

What happened on Episode 3 of All Stars Rivals?

The first time has departed — who will be next?

Making Moves on the Net

The cast, including a very sick Adam, arrives at their next challenge: Ball Buster. Teams need to find 10 balls matching their team color inside a giant star-shaped pit then climb through an obstacle course and deposit them in their team’s chute. The balls come in various shapes and sizes, so teams need to take multiple trips to collect them all. Once all the balls are transferred, the duos will need to complete a puzzle to get the victory. Everyone starts with different strategies, like Dario & Ashley who take off with just one ball to get a quick lead. But, when Ashley & Aneesa get to the cargo net obstacle, Aneesa gets scared. She dislocated her shoulder climbing one on Spies, Lies and Allies, and she’s worried about getting back on it. Eventually she slowly makes her way up with a lot of coaching from Ashley. However, it quickly becomes clear that the teams who took five balls on their first lap would be the front-runners. This essentially narrowed it down to Devin & Leroy and Amber & Faysal who collect all 10 balls after their second run, and they both make it to the puzzle. Unsurprisingly, the male/male team takes the win, but surprisingly, Leroy helped with the puzzle because he’s been working on his puzzle skills.

Worried and Sick

Leroy & Devin will be selecting the second Jungle competitor, but the first one will be left up to the house vote, and Adam & Steve are worried. Steve fears that they won’t have the numbers to stay safe, but Adam is very sick. He has chills, night sweats, diarrhea, and difficulty breathing, so the team is considering striking a deal that includes offering up their star. While Adam thinks it might be better to just put in work and try to compete, it could also be a death sentence (in the game… they probably wouldn’t really let Adam die).

Rivalry Rescinded

After their blow up last week, Sylvia and Kellyanne sit down and chat, which was important because they did well in the daily challenge. Sylvia apologizes for being mean, and Kellyanne shares that she’s often an insecure person and gets upset when people misunderstand her. Kellyanne also state she views Sylvia as an equal, and she doesn’t want her to feel belittled. The two walk away on good terms and feel this could be the belated start of a strong partnership.

Sick Moves and Slick Deals

At the house vote, Adam asks if anyone would be willing to step up and get voted into the Jungle because he’s sick, but no one shows an ounce of sympathy. Almost everyone votes him in, but Adam & Steve threw their vote to Frank & Sam. Adam & Steve tell Devin & Leroy that they’d like to see Frank & Sam in the Jungle, and the winning pair seem receptive but can’t guarantee anything. The winners chat with Frank & Sam who recommend sending in Kellyanne & Sylvia. Leroy & Devin take the bait, strike an alliance with the RW: San Diego duo, and send in Kellyanne & Sylvia.

Rolling Out

The elimination is called Pile It On and the teams need to do a puzzle while a rope and chain unspools. Once the puzzle is done, the team will need to pick up all of the rope and hold it for five minutes. If the rope hits the ground at any point, the clock will reset. Naturally, Steve knows the puzzle so the boys complete it first. Then, they pick up the rope and it gets a little challenging, but they figure out how to make it work. The girls follow behind them, and they start off with a bigger pile of rope to hold. Unsurprisingly, Adam & Steve win and Sylvia & Kellyanne are sent home.

Making the Game a Joke

After the elimination, the cast heads back and Aneesa makes a joke about Ashley chilling her wine with a “redneck ice cube” because she’s from West Virginia. Ashley gets upset because these stereotypes don’t reflect her reality and her upbringing, and she’s sick of the jokes Aneesa makes. Immediately, Aneesa apologizes — she thought it was a safe space to make those jokes because Ashley makes them too. However, Ashley feels exhausted by the constant joking especially because she doesn’t make jokes based on Aneesa’s background, upbringing, or body. Ashley goes to get more wine, but she might also be exhausted because she’s playing the game very differently than her partner. Ashley spends her days training while Aneesa focuses on the social game which involves a lot of sitting around and chatting.
