The game has been by predictable so far, but is it time for a shake up?
Friends, Family, and Roommates

The episode opens with calls from home, featuring cameos from Kaycee, Averey, and Kam. Then, we get to Devin’s call to his girlfriend Michele. She says she may have accidentally “soft-launched” their relationship, but he’s thrilled that the world knows. He’s feeling good in the game, as is his partner, but Leroy doesn’t need to phone home to find a close friend. He’s in the house with Dario, and the two lived together in Las Vegas for a while. They’re very close, to the point where Leroy’s met Dario’s mother, and they came into the season with an unspoken alliance.
Eat Your Words

The cast arrives to a long table with many chairs, and they’re playing Sunday Funday. Every team has a vanilla milkshake in front of them, but they’re going to add more ingredients. It’s essentially the Match Game, but if teams don’t match their questions correctly they need to add a shot of a gross (but recognizable) ingredient like ketchup, vinegar, or mayonnaise. The questions range from zodiac signs to identify the least trustworthy team in the house. Frank & Sam get called out for being untrustworthy and physically weak, but they’re in sync until Sam needs to identify her biggest weakness. This forces them to add durian, which took Frank out of Rivals 2, but it seems he’s overcome his fear. Frank & Sam win the milkshake sucking contest, giving them the power to shake up the game.
Game Before Friendships

While Frank & Sam are gloating over their win, the rest of the house is feeling nervous. They know that Frank may want to make a “big move,” and they’re scrambling to figure out what that might be. Dario sees the house throwing in Adam & Steve (again) and anticipates Frank & Sam will then throw in Leroy & Devin. Corey relays this information to Devin, and Devin tells Leroy. This shocks Leroy, who confronts Dario, but Dario denies it. He claims he’s voting for Adam & Steve, but Devin feels like this is putting the plan into motion. Eventually, Dario admits that this plan would benefit his game, and Devin feels like he caught Dario in a lie. Dario denies this, and refuses to be intimidated by Devin. He squares up with Devin and hurls insults in his direction, but Devin’s only rebuttal is that he’s already a Challenge champion. Leroy breaks up the fight before it comes to blows, but it’s clear he’s disappointed in Dario’s position.
The Star of the Alliance

At the house vote, the numbers are more divided than ever, but Adam & Steve still end up being sent to The Arena. Now, Frank and Sam are left with a decision: Do they honor the alliance they made with Leroy & Devin on episode 3, or do they make a big move and send in Devin & Leroy? After the house vote, Devin & Leroy talk to the power team and they offer a lot, essentially saying they’ll carry Frank & Sam to the final. And they propose Nicole & Melissa go into the Jungle to break up their alliance with Adam & Steve. Sam seems to see the logic in this, but ultimately, Frank wants to shake up the house. At the Jungle, he sends in Devin & Leroy to make two star-holding teams face each other.
The Sum of All Moves

The elimination is called Over the Barrel and competitors need to stand on barrels and roll them across the Jungle without touching the sand, though they have a rope to use for balance. Once all 18 barrels are transported, the teams need to rearrange them to solve two math puzzles. The goal is to make triangles around a center barrel where the sums of each side equal the center number. Immediately, Leroy stumbles but Adam seems comfortable on the barrels. The Road Rules team takes a slight early lead, but Devin & Leroy aren’t far behind. This lead is maintained until the puzzle, but it’s clear that the puzzles will be the deciding factor. Steve is the first to solve his puzzle, while Devin & Leroy are still working. This allows Steve to help his confused partner, and Adam & Steve win again. Now, Devin & Leroy are going home, but we don’t know the fate of their star.
