On episode 5 of All Stars Rivals, Dario did the same thing he did on the three prior episodes: vote in Adam & Steve. This has been the safe and expected move since the beginning of the season, but this week, it was allegedly the wrong thing for Dario to do.
Evidently, the whole house knew Frank wanted Devin & Leroy to face Adam & Steve in elimination (and I just say Frank because Sam did not want to send in Devin). In Dario’s mind, it was a done deal, so there wasn’t a whole lot he could do to prevent it. After all, Frank & Sam were the power team and Dario & Ashley just had one of the nine house votes.

When Leroy caught wind of the plan, he confronted Dario, and Dario assured Leroy that he wouldn’t vote for Devin & Leroy — he would say Adam & Steve at the deliberation. Leroy was annoyed with Dario’s unenthusiastic response and he felt Dario should be fighting to keep his friend safe.
At this point, Devin interjected to call Dario weak-minded, but Dario was right about one thing — Adam & Steve were going to be the house vote. They received five out of the nine votes, so even if Dario voted for a different team, Adam & Steve were still going into the Jungle.
If we view this situation objectively, watching Adam & Steve face Devin & Leroy was a great scenario for Dario & Ashley. No one knows what happens when a star-holding team is eliminated, and they get to see what happens to the relinquished star. They can use this information to inform their strategy moving forward, because sooner or later someone will try to steal their star.

Devin tried to portray Dario as a traitor, but it’s unlikely the house will view it that way. After all, he followed the majority, and he didn’t vote for his friend. Frank & Sam were in control of Leroy’s fate, and they supposedly had an alliance with Devin & Leroy. So, Frank is likely to be viewed as a snake in this situation.
Up until last week, Devin & Leroy were fine with sending in Adam & Steve because they thought their alliances would protect them. This week, Dario felt safe (likely because Ashley has ties to Frank & Sam), so there was no reason for him to change his strategy.
If Leroy really was Dario’s biggest ally, his game might be more difficult moving forward — but I doubt that’ll be the case. Devin & Leroy were front runners in the game, and now that position is wide open.
