Something wild happened on All Stars Rivals episode 6: Adam & Steve didn’t go into The Jungle. The Road Rules team won the daily challenge, and at a perfect time. We also discovered that an abandoned star (i.e. a star whose holders got eliminated) will be up for grabs at the next daily challenge.
Luckily for Frank & Sam, this allowed them to secure a star without going into the Jungle, but it’s also an important aspect of the game that was unknown until Devin & Leroy were sent home.

Now, with eight teams remaining, we’re at a very interesting point in the game: four teams have stars and four teams don’t. The strategy will need to change, and it won’t be beneficial to resume the streak of sending Adam & Steve into every Jungle.
The four star-holding teams would be wise to work together and target the teams that don’t have stars. In doing this, they would be able to hold onto their stars without needing to risk their place in the game in the Jungle. If they use this strategy, it could keep Adam & Steve safe and give them allies moving forward.

The teams without stars have a lot to gain with the new star rule. Before Leroy & Devin went home, it was assumed teams would need to win a Jungle to get a star. Now, they have a better option. They can try to send two star-holding teams into the Jungle, free a star, and compete to win it at the next challenge.
While there are a lot of moving pieces in this plan, it seems like an ideal way to get a star. Even if the plan fails, it’s not like the teams are eliminated. They’ll just need to try to win their star another day.
All of this complicates the game, and as Veronica showed us, complication can be good for a team like Adam & Steve. There are many logical reasons not to use them as the scapegoats moving forward, and their path to the final may have gotten easier.
They’re definitely not immune from the Jungle, but there aren’t a lot of scenarios where it would benefit the other teams to make them the house vote. They’ve emerged as a powerhouse team that can send other people or win a challenge and earn the power to seek revenge. But, we know many Challengers aren’t the smartest people in the world. So they might maintain the status quo rather than try to play the game strategically.
