It finally happened. Two non-star-holding teams faced each other in the Jungle and the winners got to steal a star. Unfortunately for Nany and Turbo, they lost their star very close to the final.
Fortunately, it doesn’t appear that they’re completely out of the game. It looks like there will be one more challenge before the final, but it won’t be easy to earn their star back.
There’s a 99% chance Nany & Turbo will need to go into the Jungle next week. If they win the daily challenge, they’ll need to volunteer themselves. But this isn’t a great scenario, because it lets the other teams choose their opponents, and they’ll likely send in a strong team.
What if Nany & Turbo don’t win? Then, they’ll likely become the house vote. The teams will quickly realize that there’s no benefit to sending two star-holding teams into the Jungle, leaving Nany & Turbo on the sidelines. In that scenario, one team would go home and release a star, and that star would likely default into Nany & Turbo’s hands.
So, it looks like Nany will need to compete right before the final — a scenario she’s very familiar with.
This is hard, because All Stars Rivals seemed like a season that Nany was poised to win. Many people think Nany’s best shot at winning the Challenge would have been with Turbo on War of the Worlds 1, but the teams split up that season and Turbo won by himself.
Now, despite their history, Turbo seems more determined to help Nany win than he is to get his second win. It’s the ideal set up for Nany, but her team only had lukewarm results so far this season. They haven’t won a single daily challenge, and they only had a star because they came in fourth on the first daily challenge.
Nany’s not out of the game yet, but if she doesn’t win this season, it’s hard to imagine a scenario where she becomes a champion. She’s played about every Challenge format, and she’s had elite partners like Bananas and Turbo. Of course, this won’t stop her from returning, but it doesn’t seem like a victory will be possible without a major change — and there aren’t many strategies that she hasn’t tried.
Stop Being Polite 
Lets face it, the only reason Nany has a chance this season is because they teamed her with Turbo. I like Nany on the shows, but lets be real, folks like her, Aneesa, Veronica, etc. are not good enough at the physical challenges to really challenge for a win. How about they do an All Star Challenge of all the weaker players? Leave the buff bods out, just a whole cast of less physical players, even the field out. Nanny, Aneesa, Ryan, Sam, etc. etc. etc.
