Another Challenge star is venturing to a non-MTV show. Faysal will be one of the 16 competitors who will appear on the American Gladiators reboot that’s coming to Amazon Prime Video.
The show will feature competitors who have been selected based on their athleticism, fitness, and screen presence. They’ll participate in extreme challenges and obstacle courses to score points to outperform their opponents. And Challenge fans will recognize another face — Mike “the Miz” Mizanin has been selected to host the competition.
Mike appeared on the Real World: Back to New York and five early Challenge seasons before starting his WWE career. He won the original Battle of the Seasons and the Inferno 2, and later returned for hosting duties. He was selected to host both Champs vs. Stars seasons and various reunions.
The new American Gladiators will also feature another reality star: Big Brother alumnus Jessie Godderz. Most recently, Jesse appeared on House of Villains 2 with Wes and other reality TV baddies.
The premiere date has not been announced, but it would be a huge flex for Fessy to win competitions. Many of the competitors on this show are elite athletes, but prior versions of American Gladiators also had a lot of obstacle courses and funky games. The Challenge could be great preparation, so Fessy’s previous experiences could be a huge asset.
