The end is almost here. Are the viewers tuning in for the home stretch?
The Challenge: Vets & New Threats: Episode 18 was watched by 241,000 live viewers and received a 0.08 rating in the 18-49 demographic. This is a substantial drop of 76,000 viewers compared to last week, and the demo fell by 0.04. The episode was the 17th highest-rated cable show of the night.
This is not a good performance for the show. Granted, viewers knew this was part 1 of a two-part final, but numbers had been moving in a good direction over the past few weeks. We can also attribute the loss of some viewers to pre-holiday festivities, but the fact that 16 other cable programs outperformed The Challenge tells us people were watching TV — just not MTV.
