Yesterday, August 17, was a very sad day for the Real World/Challenge family. Joey Kovar from The Real World Hollywood passed away at the age of 29.
For fans of the show, Joey was a lovable roommate with anime-style hair. However, his drug addiction proved to be a problem for him, and he left half way through the season to enter rehab.
After the show ended, he appeared on Celebrity Rehab.
Unfortunately, it is reported that he likely died from a drug overdose.
His family, however, is shocked by his dead. They say that he had been sober for the past six month, and they would be surprised if drugs are involved.
Regardless of the cause of death, it’s deeply saddening that another Real World/Road Rules alum has passed away too soon.
