Ratings Episode 9: Calm Waters

It’s kind of sad to say this, but at this point into the season I’d say that any number above 1 million viewers is alright. If this is the case, then this week’s ratings are alright.

According to TVByTheNumbers this week 1.106 million viewers tuned into The Real World, which is about 100,000 less than last week. Also, the rating in the 18-49 demo was 0.6, 0.1 lower than last week. While we did see a slight drop, there have been much worse ratings this season.

We not long have holidays, feuds with Direct TV, or The Olympics interfering with the ratings, but the fact that these things occurred during the season have harmed the ratings. I don’t think we’re going to see ratings much higher than 1.2 million for the rest of the season.
