It is with much sadness that I am reporting that Dave Mirra, pro BMX rider and former Challenge host, has been found dead. According to TMZ, Dave’s body was found earlier today with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot to the head.
Dave leaves behind his wife Lauren and his two children. He was a star BMX rider, gold medal winner at the X-Games, had his own video games, in addition to his gig hosting The Challenge.
Challenge fans will remember Dave from 2004’s The Inferno and 2005’s The Inferno 2. After that season, his good friend TJ Lavin took over the role of host.
