Double whammy here…
1. The Carnival’s In Town
Dione’s carny friends roll into town, most notably his friend Morning Beer and his kinda-ex Amanda Please. Half of the roommates take a liking to this crazy lifestyle, while the other half don’t understand the carny life. Kailah is kind of turned off. As she watches her roommates lose their shit to become “carnies” she feels she never needs to conform!
2. The Intimidation Factor
Finally fed up, Dean confronts Jenna when she says she auctioned for The Real World because she was “bored.” Dean tells her to stop putting on a front and to be real. Jenna walks away, but the next morning she confronts Dean for getting “in her face” (see above picture for proximity). Dean respectfully apologizes to Jenna, but then tells Ceejai who believes Jenna only felt threatened because Dean is a black man.
3. Sit Down Please
The carny life gets to be too much for Kailah, who calls out Dean for being “fake” because he parties like a carny. They confront each other, and as they bicker Amanda Please decides she needs to sit down. Kailah acknowledges that the little girl is sitting down, and Amanda freaks out because she was called “little.” Amanda confronts Kailah over this, but we all know it’s because Kailah hooked up with Dione earlier in the season.
4. LosingĀ the Front
Sick of the cast saying they don’t really know him, Dean breaks down. He is tired of having to monitor every action because he doesn’t want to be perceived in certain ways. Ceejai comforts him, not because she feels bad for him but because she recognizes the additional pressures black Americans have. While Dean eventually forgives Kailah, he still hold some resentment toward Jenna.
5. Moving Out, Moving In
The cast gets their next mission, and they have to camp in the desert for 24 hours. If anyone can’t take this camping trip, they can leave and get sent home. The catch: they have a new roommate named Dylan who can move into their suite if he survives the 24 hours. Dylan is from Boston, and we know this because he wears a t-shirt that reads “Boston.” Of course, the whole cast endures the camping trip because it was an insanely easy mission. Now we have 8 roommates, and Dylan has taken a liking to Jenna. They spend a considerable amount of time together on the camping trip and continue to talk once he moves in.
6. Girl #2
Despite his initial attraction to Jenna, Dylan also finds Kailah attractive. On his second night in Vegas, he goes out with Dean and Kailah. Dean notices they have a connection, and leaves the two to get to know each other better. They hit it off, and make out. The next morning, Dylan tells Jenna about his time with Kailah but he admits that he now knows he wants to focus on Jenna.
7. Working the Strip
Dylan and Dean receive a mission where they have to put on a strip show. This is easy for Dylan, because stripping is he day job, but Dean has to learn some moves. Rehearsals aren’t the best, but they put on a good show. Of course, this show is likely a matinee because there are only a handful of people watching.
8. Austin, We Have a Problem
As Dylan and Jenna continue flirting, it becomes clear they cannot maintain relationships back home. Jenna receives an e-mail from her boyfriend Austin who states he’s over their relationships. Dylan calls his girlfriend Brittany (on his birthday) and calls it quits. They’re both moderately sad, but it doesn’t stop them from getting closer.
I feel that Amanda Please came off as total trash, Kailah seems like she will have sex with just about anybody she finds attractive and the “carny” life is totally idiotic.
