When it comes to the greatest Challengers of all time, the name Landon is bound to get thrown around. He’s only done four seasons, but he won three and has performed exceptionally well on all of them. He also hasn’t done a show in 13 years.
Landon is one of those people who keeps his personal life off the radar. He doesn’t have a social media presence, but occasionally pops up on a Challenge podcasts. While he doesn’t resent the show, he’s also not the type of person who makes it central to his life.
Recently, Landon dipped his toe into the Challenge world again. He attended a Challenge Mania event in Denver and host Scott Yager reunited him with his Fresh Meat 2 partner Carley.
He also got the chance to reconnect with his Gauntlet 2 and Duel 2 buddy Mark Long as well as Sarah Rice, who he met briefly during Fresh Meat 2.
In the past, Landon seemed to imply he wouldn’t come back, mostly because of the time commitment. But, he clearly has made a little bit of time to reconnect with some old friends. While there’s no guarantee that Landon will (or won’t) return to the show, returning to an event is a strong sign of interest.
But, let’s start by saying this: There’s a very low chance that Landon will return to the main series. He has very few connections to the remaining cast members and the show tends to film for longer periods of time than it has in the past.
However, I do think there’s a chance he’d do a show like All Stars, especially if the filming window isn’t too long. He knows quite a few people who are active in the scene and it would be a more familiar environment for him.
I also think he might be willing to do some type of special featuring all champs — akin to Champs vs. Stars or one of the Universal Challenges they did in the past. Of course, those shows aren’t filming any new installments, but that doesn’t mean MTV or Paramount+ won’t have a new experiment in the future.
Still, I wouldn’t bank on a grand return from Landon, but this is his biggest sign of interest we’ve seen in years.

As a long time fan….I wouldn’t mind seeing Landon again…I love seeing old timers I remember….not newbies…
I’d love to see Landon again. He was a great competitor and a great guy. Love seeing the old challengers.
