We’re under a month away from the debut of The Challenge: Battle For A New Champion, and the show is trying to build hype. Today, the first real trailer was released.
What did we learn from the trailer? Not much. We got a lot of clips of daily challenges, but we didn’t see much drama, no partying, and zero hookups (even though we know there’s at least one). It seems like the season will put a bigger emphasis on the competition and less on the social aspects of the game.
We did get a sneak peek at some of the competitions, and many look pretty cool. It seems like competitors will be upside down, soaring through the air, and falling into water.
But, TJ teased this is the season he’d been waiting for, so let’s hope that it’s more exciting than the trailer made it out to be. Plus, we did get a sneak peek at some of the Champions coming into the game as mercenaries.
If prior seasons are any indication, we’re likely to get longer “super teases” and other commercials and trailers prior to the first episode airing. Likely, they’ll reuse a lot of footage from the first trailer, but we’ll get a few more clips. Let’s hope there’s some drama because it’ll be a long season without any arguments.
