The Challenge

The Challenge: Sweden Coming August 12

A new nation is getting their own version of The Challenge.

Seemingly out of the blue, a new international Challenge spinoff has been announced. “The Challenge: Sverige,” the Swedish version of the show, is set to debut on August 12, 2024.

According to Vevmo, the season was filmed in 2023 and there will be 19 episodes — yes, 19 — even though there are only 17 cast members.

The show features contestants from the Swedish adaptations of Survivor and The Bachelor/Bachelorette as well as alumni from the nation’s longstanding show: The Farm.

There are no familiar faces from the US franchise on the show, and it was filmed in Cyprus — a location that has never been on the US version. But, the show will have many familiar elements. Specifically, the trailers have featured popular competitions like Hall Brawl and Balls In.

The show will air on TV4 in Sweden, one of the most popular networks in the nation. However, it’s not clear if the show will be available in the US. Plus, this season won’t be in English, though English-speaking viewers could always watch a version with subtitles if it ever becomes available.
