Battle of the Eras has just been announced, but we’re getting hints that it may be the end of the road for some people. Specifically, Horacio stated this was “The Last Dance” on Instagram.

While this could mean anything, it’s clearly coded to make people think he’s done with the show. Other Challengers have commented on this and taken it as news of a retirement (specifically, Berna).
If this is a retirement announcement, it could be for several reasons. Some people will be led to believe Horacio had a bad experience on season 40, and that may be the case. However, Horacio has also been pursuing a soccer career. It’s very possible that this show interferes with that too much, and Horacio no longer wants to give up opportunities to play soccer.
We’ll have to watch Battle of the Eras to find out, but even if this is a retirement announcement, it doesn’t necessarily mean he’s done. For the most part, people who say they’re retiring reverse that decision at some point.
If Horacio is truly done with the show, let’s hope it’s for the right reasons. He showed a lot of potential during his first two seasons, and he seems to be a strong contender to become a Challenge champion down the road.
