Jemmye Shares That Battle of the Exes 2 Could Have Gone Unaired

Recently, Jemmye went on TikTok and discussed her digital footprint and her relationship with social media. The video was shared after a mommy blogger passed away, and this prompted Jemmye to discuss how she navigated a public tragedy. In her case, it was the death of her ex-boyfriend Ryan Knight.

For context, Battle of the Exes 2 filmed in August 2014 and Knight passed away in late November 2014 — just a few weeks after Diem died. The season was slated to air in January 2015.

After the two cast members passed away, production contacted their partners: CT and Jemmye. According to Jemmye, the producer she spoke with said the season would not air if they were not comfortable with it.

Fortunately, both Jemmye and CT agreed that Knight and Diem would have wanted the show to air, so viewers got to see Exes 2. But, Jemmye said she received a lot of backlash after Knight’s death.

When Knight died, he was in Wisconsin and Jemmye was in New Orleans. Regardless, a lot of people blamed Jemmye for Knight’s death even though she was physically very distant from him.

Of course, this was very troubling for Jemmye, even though she knew she was not responsible. To this day, she still receives blame from people online, though people likely would have made comments regardless of Exes 2 airing.

This has encouraged Jemmye to keep many aspects of her life private online, like her relationships and her home. That’s something she’s done for over a decade, but as a viewer, it’s interesting to get some insights into Exes 2’s backstory. It’s also nice to hear that production were considerate of CT and Jemmye, and we all know Jemmye wouldn’t give them credit if they didn’t deserve it.
