Episode 9 of Vets & New Threats featured a heated argument between Ashley and Aneesa, but it seems the version we saw on TV was heavily edited.
According to Theo, we saw the “PG” version of the argument. He said “more shit went down,” but he insists it’s not his story to tell — and he’s probably right, at least based on Ashley’s responses.
The two-time champion has posted a few videos online about the argument. In one, she said that she doesn’t want to tell the whole story because she wants to remain “respectful.” However, she said Aneesa’s abilities and body came into question because she was taking Ozempic. Aneesa is noticeably smaller this season, but Ashley claims her weight loss does not make her in shape because she was using the drug.
After this, Ashley posted a video saying someone contacted production to inform them that she was “lying” online. She also said that she’s never been afraid of people who are bigger than her (this becomes relevant) because she’s “crazy.” Ashley also said she knows a lot of things about other Challenge contestants, and her time away from the show has helped her see these people more clearly. She mentioned that she knows dirt on some people, but they’re really good at hiding it so the show will never expose them.
While Ashley never names the person who contacted producers, it’s assumed to be Aneesa. In a now-deleted Instagram story, Ashley mentioned someone reached out to HR but is scared to talk to her directly. Ashley further mentions that HR never got involved when this person “accidentally” walked in the shower while she was on the show
In another video, Ashley discussed some of her trauma that’s relevant to her argument with Aneesa — but be warned, it involves a potential sexual assault and mental health.
Ashley said she was in the Dominican Republic and met a girl after she broke up with her ex-boyfriend about two years ago. This girl, who was about Aneesa’s size (per Ashley), ended up in a hotel with Ashley in the DR and tried to assault her in bed. As a result, Ashley beat her up badly and the police were involved. The girl was removed from the room, but she stole Ashley’s belongings (including her passport) while she was being forced to leave.
After this incident, the girl reached out to Aneesa on Facebook. Ashley claims Aneesa brought up this girl during their argument on Vets & New Threats. Not only is this a highly personal and traumatic event for Ashley, but it also explains why Ashley would be talking about how she can beat up someone who’s Aneesa’s size.
Of course, we only have Ashley’s side of the story now. Aneesa has remained silent, and this incident will likely never fully come to light. Aneesa has been involved in controversy in the past, and producers did a good job of hiding that incident. So this argument might be another story that remains incomplete for viewers.
