Ashley Announced Retirement, Names Challenge Trump Supporters, Angers CT

Ashley is back on social media talking about politics. The two-time champ, who’s very liberal and outspoken, is reliving Challenge moments that relate to politics.

According to the video, Cara Maria was trying to reverse her political stance. So, before she backtracks, Ashley wants to call her out — and other competitors who have supported Donald Trump.

Ashley said that when she was filming Invasion, she called her mother and was informed that Trump won the 2016 election. She said Cory, Darrell, and Nelson were the only other people in the house who cared (this was later in the season, other people may have been eliminated).

Ashley also identified Wes as the “smartest” veteran, likely implying he’s not a Trump supporter — or at least, he’s not blindly supporting all of his initiatives.

She also talked about War of the Worlds 2, where she said Jordan, Bananas, Zach, Paulie, and Cara Maria all showed support for Trump. However, she wasn’t super vocal this season because she was an outsider on her team, and she wanted to get through the game. Ashley said that Leroy and Kam were the only other two who didn’t support Trump on War of the Worlds 2, but despite their political alignment, the couple voted her off Double Agent’s “because [she’s] white.”

After posting the video, Ashley shared another where she said she was happy to receive “no repercussions” because she’s done with The Challenge. Normally, producers would reprimand her for speaking about these issues publicly.

While Ashley seems to say she’s retired, CT is upset by her public statements. He claims he “never voted for anythings besides The Challenge,” implying Ashley was incorrectly stating his political affiliation. CT later posted an Instagram post where he expressed disappointment and claimed he always supported Ashley.

The post shared CT’s last text to Ashley (from 2023). In the message, CT spoke about the Champs vs. Stars incident, where he called out Terrell Owens. This infamous fight was because TO was mocking the Veterans team, specifically because Ashley had to leave the competition to visit her dying father. In the text exchange, Ashley thanks CT for his kindness and says she thinks of him often.

CT’s Instagram caption is kind of a mess, but he seems upset. He also mentioned that he chose Ashley as a partner on one season… either Fries Pies or Double Stuffed Agents (aka Spies, Lies and Allies or Double Agents).

This isn’t the end. Ashley posted another video online accusing people of voting for hatred. It’s specifically a response to Cara Maria and Paulie posting Instagram stories expressing disgust over the Epstein files and the “demons” they revealed.

I’m sure this isn’t the end. Ashley is outspoken, but it’s also not surprising to see cast members with conflicting views. After all, many of these people were from The Real World. Production used to cast people on the show because they represented more conservative view points. While many people disagree with Donald Trump and his politics, old school Real World fans aren’t surprised the franchise represents both sides of the political spectrum.
