Challenge legend Leroy found himself in a really crappy situation recently. He confirmed on Instagram that he contracted the parasitic Cyclosporiasis infection, which has started to spread in the US.
If you know anything about the infection, it’s primarily being associated with explosive diarrhea — an yes, Leroy had that symptom.
He also said he had to endure extreme stomach pain and intestinal rumbling, which he equated to putting a pair of Timberlands in the dryer.
He almost went to the emergency room, but he eventually found himself at an urgent care. His symptoms were causing him such discomfort that he was unable to wait for lab diagnostics to confirm he had Cyclosporiasis.
Fortunately, he was able to get medication, and this allowed his body to “kill off” the infection. And true to form, he took this setback in stride.
He also cautions people to take the condition seriously and seek help if they’re in need. He said he’d hate for a child to deal with this, and fortunately, it seems no one else in his family had to deal with an infection.
