What the truck!!!
Waring: This post does contain spoilers for the Battle of the Exiled
1. The Write Thing
Sarah is saddened by the fact that she and Jordan have been bickering, so she writes him a long and emotional letter explaining her frustrations (especially how upset she was when he yelled at her during the Don’t Forget About Me Challenge). When Jordan reads the letter, he realizes that he has been hard on Sarah, but says that they have a brother/sister relationship and brothers and sisters fight (which is odd because they’re also exes). Jordan apologizes, and they hug it out.
2. Running on Speed
This week’s challenge was called Speed Dating and required teams to jump from one tractor trailer to another. In the process, they must transfer up to 2 balls at a time. Nia and Leroy perform first and retrieve 10 of 12 balls. However, when Sarah and Jordan go, they only get 4 balls because their safety cords get tangled. This results in Sarah and Jordan getting last place, while Nia and Leroy manage to get first place.
3. Insincere Apology
After the challenge, Zach apologizes to Jonna for being tough on her over the past few weeks. While it seems that they’re at a turning point in their relationship, Zach then starts criticizing Jonna again and blaming her for the team performing poorly. Finally, Jonna gets fed up and yells at Zach for being critical. While they’re still a bickering team, Jonna feels that she is finally over Zach.
4. Getting Played
At Power Couple dinner, Leroy and Nia talk to the three teams who are candidates for The Dome. They tell Zach and Jonna they’re safe, and decided to keep Jay and Jenna safe because they’re so weak. They then want to throw in Wes and Theresa, stating the only way they’d save them is if they become Wes’s #1 team. Wes says that if they wants to be his #1 ally, they must get rid of his current #1 (Zach and Jonna). After consideration, Leroy decides he has to go back on his word and sends in Zach and Jonna.
5. Heavy Metal
The Dome is called Hammer It Home and requires teams to use a hammer to move a metal contraption to ring a bell. The guys move it the first half of the distance while the girls move it the second half. While Zach has the pure strength to move the contraption, Jordan has better technique and manages to do his portion faster than Zach. Then Sarah continues the process and is able to complete her portion faster than Jonna. Surprisingly, Zach loses a strength based elimination.
Battle of the Exiled
Johnny and Averey meet Bananas and Nany in the Battle of the Exiled. This challenge was called Take It Out and required the teams to use two long bamboo chutes to remove 4 objects from a pit. Like most things, Bananas and Nany work really well together and are able to communicate. Johnny and Averey barely talk and only use profanities to communicate. By the time Johnny and Averey remove 1 object, Bananas and Nany remove all 4 and win!
This season is great, apart from the are you the one. I always thought that Wes was good at the game, but never as great as he thought he was. This last move was brilliant though.
You can say you hate Wes, but this move was brilliant and he will be missed
