Real World Go Big or Go Home: Top Moments from Episode 1

We have a new season off to an unusual start:

1. A Twisted Start

Welcome to Vegas! As the cast pulls up, they realize they’re in a desert, not a house. This season we have a cast that includes a former mormon, a man going through a divorce, an adopted girl who’s afraid to meet her birth parents, a southern belle, and a “jungle boy.” But the cast may not be here for long. The twist is “Go Big or Go Home.” These people will be faced with a number of challenges. If you fail to complete then challenge, you get sent home and replaced.

2. Going Big

The first challenge, before the cast even enters the house, is to bungee jump off a hot air balloon. Some people are pumped, while others are terrified. But it’s too soon to go home, so every gets the job done.

3. Going to the Gold

Once they’ve moved in the cast heads to the pool. Kailah immediately has a crush on Dione and they start to chat. While talking to Dione and Dean, Kailah says she has a golden pussy. Once someone hits it, they can’t quit it. The guys think she’s being cocky, and they go to the bathroom (together for some reason). While in the bathroom, they make fun of Kailah for her comments. Kailah overhears and gets pissed off, but Dione comes around and apologizes.

4. The Color of Friendship

Jenna is really connecting with her roommate, especially the colored-folk! She tells Dean and Ceejai they’re really nice, and if all colored people were like them she would have more black friends. She gets some shifty side-eyes from both of them, but Ceejai decides it’s too early to call out Jenna even though she wants to stand up for herself. Dean is also offended, but recognizes Jenna’s viewed are a result of how she was raised. Later on, the cast goes to the pool and Jenna makes a comment about going to a store for black people. Perhaps a more tame comment, but her opinions are starting to show.

5. The Past in the Present

Ceejai decides it’s time to open up about her past and tell hers roommates how she lost both of her parents. Sadly, her father was abusive and shot her mother. Then the police shot her father. While some people can relate to domestic abuse being in their lives, the entire cast is shocked and humbled to hear this.

  1. Tisk Tisk.
I just don’t know how I feel about this cast. Is it that I’m older and wiser or is this cast a little immature?

Jenna is racist who definitely needs to open her eyes and experience life outside the south.

Sabrina is a girl who references sex as much as possible, which leads me to believe her sex life isn’t as….eventful as she leads on. She is definitely going to go crazy in the house due to lack of male attention.

Chris is like a rebellious 14 year old.

Dean is a married man and is calling it quits after four months.

Kailah seems to be another girl who needs attention from men to function. Did she not ask Dion if he seen himself hooking up with her and her golden kitty? Talk about a first impression.

Speaking of Dion. He’s so interesting. I actually like him a lot. This is what the show is all about. He’s unlike anyone who has been on the show. Is he a little much? Yes. But he seems genuine and very sure of who he is as an individual.

Ceejai is definitely a favorite from the jump. Very poised. Mature. But we all know she ain’t going to take shh. A great balance.

Love the shows twist even though I haven’t been a fan of any of the twists in previous seasons. It kind of reminds me of Road Rules.

It’s a lite obvious Sabrina is going to be challenged with meeting her biological mother. Is it really that scary? I think Sabrina missed out on Skeletons but there’s no need for it to carry over to this season. Id respect it a lot more if Sabrina decides to meet her mother on her own BUT I really hope it’s not a task. I remember when Nany took the initiative to meet her father on her season, it was good TV.

I’m interested to see who will go home and what characters will enter the house.
