Rivals 3: Top Moments From Episode 7

Well, the pace of the season is picking up, but the drama isn’t stopping.

1. Return From Hell

The cast goes clubbin’, and just like when Amanda came into the house, Devin feels he has nothing to lose. So he decides call call out everyone, including Cory who is crushing on Cheyenne. He tells everyone he is going to vote them in, not that he has any power to vote anyone in. Initially he fights with Kellyanne and then Jamie, but his real beef is with Cory. Devin challenges Cory to a fight… a bad move, but production steps in to clear up the shitshow.

2. The Highs and Lows of Camila

Screen Shot 2016-06-16 at 6.27.53 PM

While at the club, Tony can’t enjoy himself because he hates his partner so much. He talks to Camila and asks her to be more encouraging. They seem to be alright, until the cast gets home and then Tony starts getting mad at Camila again, who clearly thinks his desire for encouragement is a joke. They sleep off their arguments until production wakes Camila to have her call home. Camila’s sister Larissa tells her that their grandmother has passed away. Camila is devastated, but doesn’t leave as she already missed the funeral and at this point the most beneficial thing would be returning home with money.

3. The Road to Success

Screen Shot 2016-06-16 at 6.30.22 PM

The challenge is called Road to Nowhere and the goal is for one teammate to steer a cart while the other pushes. They then drive off an edge, and must grad flags during the fall. The closer flags being worth less while the farther ones are worth less. Most teams only grab one flag, but somehow Nate and Christina manage to grab multiple flags far away. This results in them being the first ever Are You the One team to win a challenge. Jamie and Kellyanne lose because they’re poor steering results in a rocky ride and they fall off the cart before the edge, so none of their points count.

4. You’re Not the One

Screen Shot 2016-06-16 at 6.46.51 PM

Nate and Christina initially consider throwing in Tony and Camila, who did not seem remorseful for taking their token last mission and not confessing. At their power dinner, Camila only gives half-apologies and Christina doesn’t seem to buy it. They also interview Devin and Cheyenne and Amanda and Nelson, with whom they have pleasant conversations. After dinner, Camila gives a more genuine apology to Christina which seems to work because Nate and Christina send the two Are You the One teams they interviewed into The Jungle.

5. Puzzling Heights

Screen Shot 2016-06-16 at 6.49.50 PMIn The Jungle, Amanda picks a skull first and it’s black. She and Nelson are going in and competing in Chill Out. The goal is to sit in a tub of ice for two minutes, then you have two minutes to complete a puzzle where you must stack wooden boards and discs to pass a red marking on a pole. The two minute intervals rotate until one team completes the puzzle. Nelson and Amanda seem to stack their pieces very quickly, until they realize they don’t have enough pieces to pass the red line in an obvious way. This causes teams to think of different strategies (while sitting in ice). They soon realize they must stack the discs on their sides like wheels and that will add height. Once the teams figure this out, it’s a race to the top. However, Jamie and Kellyanne do this quicker and become the Jungle winners.

  1. Hola! Can you make a post/poll if it was a bad decision for Nate/Christina to put in AYTO in the elimination? Haha

  2. I think they should’ve made the jungle so that the teams couldn’t see each others stacking technique cause jamie and kellyanne blatantly copied amanda’s and nelsons methode
