Rivals 3: Top Moments from Episode 11

Two Jungle and a challenge. Is this the same show we were watching last week?

1. Wound Too Tight

Cory draws the black skull, so he and Ashley compete against Nate & Christina in an elimination called Spun Out. In this elimination, one one partner spins a spool attached to a rope which makes it more difficult for their opponent to hold on. When the men spin, Nate manages to outspin Cory… or more realistically Christina manages to hold on longer than Ashley. Then, Nate somehow outlasts Cory when the men hold on, so Nate & Christina pull out a win. Dario is elated, as his gameplay paid off and Cory & Ashley are out of the game.

2. The Aftermath

After Cory & Ashley leave, a few feathers are ruffled. Devin calls out Vince for being weak and a coward, and Vince takes the bait. They bicker back and fourth until Jenna tells him to “staahp.” On the other hand, Nany is saddened that Nicole is willing to betray her cousin to get ahead in the game. She cries, and Wes listens. Nate is happy to be back, and claims Nicole’s bed is the only “drama free” place in the house. They two cuddle together, then talk game.

3. Swinger’s Club

This week’s challenge is called Catch & Release. The men swing on a bag and have to jump off and catch as many flags as possible. The bag is only swinging because the females are responsible for swinging the bag and must keep the rhythm for ten minutes. Wes & Nany go first, and only get two flags. They feel they’ve done poorly, but teams go after them and fail to get a single flag. However, Sarah & Bananas manage to get one more flag that Wes & Nany, so they win. On the other hand, Nate & Christina get zero flags and make the fewest attempts at getting flags, so they are going straight to The Jungle.

4. The Nominations the Weren’t Nominated

Bananas & Sarah start to make their nominations at the ceremony, but before they can finish their thoughts Wes & Nany and Devin & Cheyenne make their way up. They know they’re nominated. At the drawing of the skulls, Nany picks the black skull, so she & Wes are going in.

5. Breaking The Mold

The elimination is called Shattered Dreams and the females must use a spool (AGAIN) to control the height of a batten. The men use two ropes to swing and angle the batten, and must ram through a series of nine windows. Wes & Nany quickly synchronize, but Nate can’t seem to control the batten. Wes steers his batten through all nine windows, but Nate only gets three. So, Nate & Christina are gone. TJ then says they are only one elimination away from leaving the country and going to Argentina! That means one team won’t make the flight.

  1. Two things, what’s the reasoning behind your name, “TheFutureIsMichael” and do you think this is the worst edited out season ever?

    1. My username is super dated, over 5 years old now. I’ve made many blogs in my life, but I always quit after a month or so. When I created this one, I had to pick a username some I picked something that would encourage me to keep writing. It’s kind of corny looking back at it, but I can’t change it now.

And I’l reserve judgement for the second question until the end of the season. The final elimination and mission were waaaaay to drawn out last season. If they’re going to prolong that season, I’d rather they do so when there is drama.

  2. The challenge was called catch & relase? Could’ve sworn I heard that name during the original rivals.
