It’s been a few months since Nelson survived a fiery car crash, and it’s been a long road to recovery. Fortunately, he’s taking steps in the right direction (literally).
About a week ago, he showed a video of himself starting to walk again, because he’s been confined to a wheelchair for the bulk of his time since the accident. But, with dedication and physical therapy, he is making progress.
He’s also seen an outcry of support from his Challenge family.

Recently, he showed shared that Leroy gave him a fresh cut, and he spent some time with Lee, Kam, and their baby Kingston. CT also shared this video to show his support for Nelly.
Nelson has also been quite candid about the mental toll this has taken on him. It’s been a struggle, and he’s used the hashtag “depression,” but he’s also setting goals to keep himself motivated. His ankle may take a while to heal, so Scuba Nelly is in full swimmer mode.
It’s clear that Nelson plans to train so he can go back on The Challenge, but it won’t be a quick road back onto the show. Still, each step is a step in the right direction, and we’re all rooting for Nelson’s recovery.
