Robin Hibbard Celebrates Sobriety and Personal Growth

According to her Facebook profile, she's been clean for nearly two years.

It looks like Robin Hibbard has made some very positive changes in her life. She’s returned to Facebook, and she’s celebrating recent successes in her life.

The Real World San Diego alumna had battled addiction, which led to legal troubles, but it seems she’s been taking very positive strides in her life. Based on a recent Facebook post she’s all smiles — a look we haven’t seen in a while.

Robin also celebrated her sobriety on her profile, listing April 3, 2023, as the day she got clean. Based on court records, this is one day after she was arrested. Unfortunate as that may have been, it also may have been the motivation to turn her life around.

The eight-season Challenge veteran also lists Outback Steakhouse as her employer, another stride toward a stable life.

Apparently, Robin is working to regain custody of her children, so holding down a job and staying clean will benefit her in that goal. Records also indicate she filed for divorce from her husband, which may be another effort to distance herself from her troubled past and start anew.

I wouldn’t expect Robin to return to The Challenge soon, as she likely has legal obligations to fulfill, but every day she remains clean is a step in the right directions. Let’s hope she can continue down a good path that leads her to happiness, even if that doesn’t mean another appearance on the show.

  1. So happy to learn of Robin’s recovery. I’m not surprised that any of The Challenge contestants struggle with addiction (s) as I strongly suspect the Producers ENCOURAGE inebriation in many contestants for the sake of boosting ratings.

Many contestants may enter The Challenge with addictions. However, it is my opinion that the mental/emotional/ physical torture of the challenges themselves as well as the occasional deprivation of food and sleep is enough to not only KEEP them in their addiction (s) but drive them even deeper into GREATER addictions.

I’m so proud of Robin for overcoming her own personal demons and regaining control of her destiny. Praise God for looking out for this precious soul, her children and her family. May he continue to bless Robin and her family and KEEP her delivered.

Yes, opiates are the devil. But Bunim/Murray Productions is too. They want to throw the grenades to boost ratings, then play the hero when one of their own falls publicly. Try NOT being a part of the problem.

STOP supplying contestants with more ALCOHOL than FOOD and quit encouraging debaucharous behavior just to bring your NUMBERS up! Human life and personal well-being is more important than ratings. Robin is a MIRACLE!
