Real World Skeletons

Madison Channing Walls Heading to Jail for Drug Possession

The Real World star received 14 days behind bars.

It appears Madison is going through another tough time in her life. The former Real World: Skeletons cast member was arrested in January for possession of drugs — specifically, meth and fentanyl.

Following the arrest, Madison was held in custody for seven days before her bond was posted. This led to a court hearing in April where Madison pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to 14 days in jail. However, she will only serve seven more days after the guilty plea because she received credit for time served after her January arrest.

Madison’s struggles with drugs were part of her story on The Real World; at the time, she was sober. In the years following that season, she continued her journey with ups and downs. According to The Sun, Madison fell back into bad habits after her father unexpectedly died in November 2023.

Madison shares a daughter, Harper, with Tony, and her parents received custody of Harper in 2018. Madison’s mother now has sole custody of Harper, but Tony often takes care of her.

Earlier this year, Tony was also arrested for an unrelated DUI, but this seems to be one major misstep in his personal growth. Since his early Challenge days, he’s become more grounded and embraced his role as a father and husband.

On the other hand, Madison has been on a positive path at multiple points, but also has had periods when she faced legal troubles and substance abuse issues. When she was arrested in January, she was with her (presumed) boyfriend Kevin Pike, who received similar charges. Pike has his own share of legal issues (Jemmye breaks it down here).

It’s clear that Madison needs help, but hopefully this arrest serves as a wake-up call, and she works to turn her life around. She was a ray of light on the Real World, but it seems she’s resorted to old habits following her father’s death. Even though she’s struggling right now, her sentencing could be the kick in the ass she needs to follow a better path.

I really hope this is the last time I write about this type of story. Generally, I avoid these topics until other outlets (in this case, The Sun) publish them, but I am really rooting for Madison and I hope she knows there are many fans that are cheering for her success.

  1. I wonder why Tony wasn’t given custody, because before his DUI, he was doing good. I really like Madison and I pray she gets clean and stays clean.
