It’s been an eventful few days for Cara Maria. She turned 40 this week, and this follows a rant she publicly posted online. In the video, she talked about how upset she was about the current state of the world after “coming back to America” after being away for a couple of months.
This was a polarizing video, and unsurprisingly, Cara Maria’s former Rivals parents Laurel took issue.

In the video, Cara Maria started by clarifying that she belongs to no groups… as a “join my fan club” sticker flashed over her head. But she further specified that she’s upset at grocery costs, the surge in gas prices, a lack of resolution for the Epstein files, and “new wars.”
Cara says she voted [for Trump], hoping for change, and she’s pissed because she hasn’t seen it. She said she admits that she was wrong, and almost said she regretted casting the vote, only to backtrack because she felt every option we had sucked.
As the video progressed, Cara Maria kept repeating that the world sucks right now, she hates everyone in politics, and people can hate her if they want to. Then, she said she admires the strength of people who can admit they were wrong, and that train of thought somehow turned into a rant about people being tricked into getting the COVID-19 vaccine.
More recently, Laurel commented on the video in her Instagram story. Laurel called Cara Maria out on all of the issues she ignored — like protesters being murdered and immigration enforcement — but suggested Cara Maria only went on the rant because she was being impacted negatively by gas prices.
But, Laurel also gave us a little backstage information. She accused Cara Maria of making racist comments by “calling Black men from The Challenge apes.” Laurel once posted a video of Cara Maria making such comments, and producers allegedly contacted her to have the video removed as a form of damage control (but Reddit has a strong memory).
Further, Laurel said Cara Maria has a “perpetual victim complex” and can “never admit [she’s] wrong.” Allegedly, this relates to lies Cara Maria told about Laurel, most recently after season 40 (likely referring to the heavily-edited fight we saw). However, Laurel didn’t elaborate further.
Then, Laurel followed up her comments with a meme about “sniffing glue.” She used this to say Cara Maria is completely out of touch when she comments on politics, and Cara ignored many issues, but gas prices was the topic that she had to speak about.
It’s fairly clear that these two are on two different sides of the political spectrum, and if we’re being honest, they’re very to unlikely change anyone’s mind. But their feud is very much alive, and we’re bound to get more heated comments when someone posts the wrong thing.
