The Challenge loves its twists, but we haven’t seen one more notorious than the money-stealing twist from Rivals and Final Reckoning. Every Challenger should know this could happen at the end of a season, but despite running 10 finals, Cara Maria has never had to make the hard decision.
Recently, the 2-time champ answered questions on social media, and one fan asked if she’d keep the money or split it.
Cara Maria quickly took a page out of Ashley’s book. She unapologetically said she’d keep all the money — no matter who her partner was. If she didn’t her dad would disown her (her words).
Could this be foreshadowing? It’s possible, because we know the captain twist will come with a money-motivator on Cutthroat, but Cara Maria has done a lot of Challenge seasons. She likely knows better than the blatantly share spoilers on social media.
It’s also probably not wise to share this information with the public. Because if anyone can view your content, that means your castmates will be exposed to your intentions.
But we also know production loves big moments. So maybe Cara Maria is just saying what she thinks production wants to hear in hopes of being invited to future seasons.
