Battle of the Seasons is only 10 days away! This means that it’s time to start looking at the teams and deciding which one is the strongest. In this post, I will look at each team and analyze their strengths and weaknesses.
Austin (Danny, Wes, Lacey, Melinda)
Strengths: This team has a lot of veteran. This is Wes’s 7th challenge, Danny’s 5th, and Melinda’s 4th. Additionally, Wes is known to be one of the physically strongest competitors ever on the challenges.
Weaknesses: Danny and Melinda have never been shining stars when it comes to competition. Also, their social game probably isn’t the best. Wes is known to get into fights, Lacey has been out of the RW/RR loop since 2005, and Danny & Melinda are divorced. I see no reason for the
other teams to keep them around.
Brooklyn (Chet, JD, Devyn, Sarah)
Strengths: When it comes to the new school Real Worlders (I.E. from seasons 20-27) Sarah is one of the few veterans, and she has developed friendships. Chet and Sarah have performed well in the past, through other competitors have underestimated them.
Weaknesses: They lack a strong physical presence. I feel that they will likely be voted into eliminations because they will be viewed as an easy victory.
Cancun (CJ, Derek, Jasmine, Jonna)
Strengths: CJ is a football player, and he is physically intimidating. Jasmine and Jonna were a strong team while working together on Rivals.
Weaknesses: Jasmine and Jonna are loud, and they won’t back down from a fight. On the flipside, CJ was one of the quieter members on the Fresh Meat 2 cast.
“Fresh Meat” (Brandon, Eric, Camila, Cara Maria)
Strengths: All of these cast members have something to prove. Brandon performed well on Cutthroat, but eventually lost in the Gulag. Eric still hasn’t won after collapsing on the Gauntlet 3 final. Camila won last season, but most people attribute the victory to Johnny. Cara Maria has never gotten credit for doing well even though she often does. This challenge will give them the opportunity to redeem themselves.
Weaknesses: Easy come, easy go. This team wasn’t originally on the cast, and may be viewed as disposable. Plus, many of them are not liked by other cast members.
Las Vegas (Alton, Dustin, Nany, Trishelle)
Strengths: Physical. Dustin did well on Battle of the Exes before he was sent home for medical reasons. Alton is a beast when it comes to challenges. Trishelle has shown she can step-up her game when she has to.
Weaknesses: Disconnect. Unlike the other teams, not all of the cast members have met. These guys barely know each other. Plus, Alton and Trishelle have been out of the challenge world for a while.
New Orleans (Knight, Preston, Jemmye, McKenzie)

Strengths: Honestly, their biggest strength is that Ryan isn’t on their team. Other than that, they’re partiers and might be able to form strong social bonds with other cast members.
Weaknesses: As Preston said in the trailer, the team is a “hot mess.” Jemmye and Knight has a bad break up, and they’re not the most athletic looking group in the bunch.
San Diego (Frank, Zach, Ashley, Sam)

Strengths: Look at Zach. He is born for these things. Frank isn’t in bad shape either. I’m not sure how the girls will perform though. If they can set their problems aside, I think they have the muscle to go far.
Weaknesses: DRAMA. Frank is known to be in the middle of fights. In fact, he didn’t exactly get along with Zach and Ashley during his season. If he gets into fight with anyone off his team, elimination rounds might be used to settle the score.
St. Thomas (Robb, Trey, Laura, Marie)
Strengths: Trey and Robb are athletes, so they will do well physically. Marie and Laura aren’t in bad shape either. Laura seems like she’ll be able to overcome her fears and Marie knows how to drink away that pain.
Weaknesses: This team is composed of two couples. There’s a possibility that they will stick to themselves rather than socialize. Also, being the newest cast makes them more disposable than others.

Great break down! Can’t wait for the season.
I hope the Austin team could find a way to (somehow) win!
