A lot have changed on The Challenge over the years, but one thing remains constant: Aneesa.
She began her Challenge journey on 2003’s Battle of the Sexes and has been on and off of seasons ever since. SPOILER: She will be on he upcoming season, and it will be her eleventh. Despite all the attempts at winning, she has not taken the crown yet.
At this point, fans are starting to winder if she’ll ever get the title.
Here’s the thing, Aneesa has definitely stepped up her game. If you look at her earlier seasons she really wasn’t that great. However, has gotten better. Still, she’s not the best. Ever season has had better than her. In her 10 prior seasons she only made it to 2 finals: The Gauntlet 2 and The Duel 2.
In the grand scheme of things, The Gauntlet 2 final is irrelevant. However, she completely shit the bed on The Duel 2 final and finished ages behind the other two girls. However, her appearance in the final was no shocker. When she has to, Aneesa can really perform in eliminations.
That may be her biggest strength. She will go into eliminations, and she is likely to win. She’s certainly not undefeatable, but she also is not a push over. Her willingness to compete in eliminations has earner her most of her Challenge success. She has never really been someone who relies on alliances, and that’s probably part of the reason she keeps coming back.
However, he biggest flaw is her lack of endurance. Finals are just getting tougher, and she really struggled on The Duel 2 final. Distance running is certainly not her strong suit, and the overnight finals we’ve seen on recent seasons are really going to test her. If she wants to take the crown, this is her area of improvement.
Ultimately, I wouldn’t be shocked to see Aneesa in another final. I would, however, be shocked to see her take the crown.
