Redemption has been the only house Jozea & Da’Vonne have known on The Final Reckoning. After defeating Paulie & Natalie in Redemption, these two Big Brother 18 alumni earned a spot in the main house. They will now compete with the big dogs for the $1,000,000 prize.
From what we’ve seen in the Main House, it’s a huge mess. Exes are fighting and friendships are drawing lines in the sand. Many of the teams can’t work together due to their past drama and it’s hurting their name. Meanwhile, Jozea and Da’Vonne worked well in Redemption and seem to have reached a point where they are on the same page. They come into the house with this advantage. They’re not at each other’s throats and they don’t have a lot of prior history to prevent them from working with certain people.
With this said, they also don’t appear to be the strongest team. Jozea had a fairly poor showing on Champs vs. Stars, neither of them did well on Big Brother, and they finished in 11th on the first grave digging challenge. Their entry to the Main House will be immediately met with a Purge and they could be returning to Redemption sooner than they can unpack their bags. Physically, they do not appear to be a strong presence. This is going to be their biggest weakness. Even if they survive The Purge, they’ll soon become targets in The Armageddon. People will vote them in because feeling they are an easy team to eat. If they vote another team into The Armageddon, they’ll likely get called to battle in the elimination due their perception of being weak. In a game where self-preservation is key, your weakness will be exploited.
However, their lack of relationships may be their biggest asset. There are so many damaged relationships and alliances in the house that people will want another number voting on their side. People will want to convert them as an ally, and this could make their transition into the Main House smoother than expected.
Somehow, I do feel these two have the potential to be successful moving forward. All they have to do is sit in the middle and avoid the drama caused by hook ups and enemies. But then I remember how they played Big Brother and realize they’ll probably paint targets on their backs. I’d love to see them do well, but ultimately, I doubt they will.
