Everything about this episode was a disaster.
1. Old vs. New
Permanent Redemption resident Paulie finally addresses Kyle, who entered the house last week, What are they talking about? The same Cara Maria drama from episode 1. Kyle doesn’t like that Paulie got involved in his existing drama, but Paulie doesn’t see why he’s mad because he’s just friends with Cara Maria. The two get into a screaming match, but Brad separates the two. Kyle threatens to fight Paulie, but we all know that isn’t going to happen because neither wants to get kicked off The Challenge. The longer you’re there, the longer you’re on TV.
2. A Split Vote
Zach and Amanda have the power vote, and they can’t make up their mind. So they burn their vote on Jozea & Da’Vonne. However, team Bananas and team Lavender Lady are finally trying to make moves at one another. This is how the vote goes down:
- Shane & Nelson- Bananas & Tony
- Ashley & Hunter- Bananas & Tony
- Joss & Sylvia- Bananas & Tony
- Bananas & Tony- Ashley & Hunter
- Cara Maria & Marie- Ashley & Hunter
- Jozea & Da’Vonne- Ashley & Hunter
So, at Armageddon, the vote is split and Zach & Amanda have to pick between Amanda’s allies Ashley & Hunter or Zach’s allies Bananas & Tony. They can’t decide, and TJ gives them an ultimatum: pick someone or compete. So, Zach decides he’s going to compete and Zach & Amanda find themselves in elimination.
3. Getting Shook
Zach & Amanda decide to compete against Jozea & Da’Vonne, but of course the Mercenaries are here. Cory & Devin are here to compete, but because it’s so late in the game they need to beat both teams in Shake It Off. Teams start on opposite ends of a rope and must shake off nine medallions. Zach & Amanda go first, and they get an early lead. However, one medallion is stuck and won’t shake off. Meanwhile, another medallion hits Zach in the nose and he’s bleeding. While all of this happens, Cory & Devin come from behind and take the win.
4. The Fallout
After losing, Zach has a hurt nose but doesn’t seem to regret his choice. He hopes Amanda “learned her lesson,” but Amanda insists Zach has nothing to teach her. This erupts into a fight between the Lavender Ladies and the Bananas Boat. In the end, Shane yells at Bananas and insists that no one like him, just Tony. Bananas responds sarcastically, but we know Zach just sacrificed his game for Bananas & Tony.
5. Shook Again
Now, it’s time for the second heat in Shake It Out. Jozea & Da’Vonne compete and initially have a lead over Cory & Devin. Both teams have benefited from watching the first heat. That lead is lost when a stubborn medallion, the exact same one that troubled Amanda, won’t budge. This allows Cory & Devin to win and take a spot in the game. Thirteen episodes in, and we have new people coming into the game.
Once again Co-Ed teams knocked out…and replaced by an all male team. This season is definitely stacked against the ladies…
Amanda is totally classless.
She might be the worst human in challenge history! Maybe there should be an article on the most hated challenge cast mates of all time.
Can we have an option article on Zach and Amanda’s choices?
