Earlier in the year, a Real World Revival was announced by MTV, planned to appear on a streaming service. It appears The Real World has found its new home: Facebook Watch.
While the format of the show is not entirely clear, it is reportedly “reimagined.” It will take place in the US, Mexico, and Thailand.
Facebook Watch recently expanded internationally, so it has the potential to reach over 2 billion people. Still, this seems like an odd fit. I don’t know anyone who watches Facebook Watch, so it doesn’t seem like the strongest platform to get viewers. I’ll try to reserve judgement for the actual show, but I’m not sure I see a lot of promise here.
