Challenge: Double Agents

The Challenge Double Agents: Challenger Stats

An analysis of every Double Agents competitor, highlighting their prior successes and failures.

I’ve done this with prior seasons, so now I’m going to be taking a look at stats for the players on Double Agents. For this list, I can only really look at the returners with prior Challenge experience. The newcomers will have a brief bio based upon their prior experiences what we know about them. Many of them have no comparable experiences, but they might have experiences making them capable competitors.

Here are some guidelines to remember:

  1. Eliminations are counted as appearances in an elimination arena (The Jungle, The Gauntlet, The Dome, The Proving Ground, etc.).
  2. Elimination wins and losses from Battle of the Bloodlines only count if the competitor was actually competing in The Pit.
  3. If the elimination did not occur due to “chance” (like Wes and Nany’s Jungle), it will not count.
  4. Champs vs. Pros and Champs vs. Stars will be noted separately, but not counted as a formal appearance
  5. Bolded appearances in the finals indicate a win

ROOKIES

Amber Borzotra

Coming onto The Challenge six years after her Big Brother 16 appearance in 2016, Amber is going to need to rely on her social savvy and physical abilities. While she didn’t accomplish much on Big Brother, she was at least acknowledged as a physical threat and won a couple of the Battle of the Block competitions. However, she is so far removed from the current group of Big Brother players that she might not have any strong connections coming into the game.

Amber Martinez

For the first time in five seasons, MTV acknowledged an Are You the One? debut. However, this means she’s also isolated from the rest of the AYTO kids, as no one else from her cast joins her. She appears to be ready to flirt, and she’s a fan of the Challenge. Based on her size, she’ll have a tough battle to the ends, but she might not have to fight alone if she cozies up to the right person.

Gabby Allen

Gabby comes to The Challenge from Love Island UK. She’s not the first person from this show, and her 2017 season featured Theo and Georgia. She also appeared on Celebrity Big Brother UK, where she came in sixth. Gabby seems fit, but that’s not what she’s known for. In the UK, her name pops up in tabloids for her romantic interests. In fact, she might have been in a relationship prior to Double Agents, but has that ever stopper her before?

Joseph Allen

Joseph is a singer and rapper. Will that help him on The Challenge? No. He used to be a dirt biker, but stopped due to schooling and injuries. Hopefully he comes into The Challenge with some smarts, because his prior injuries aren’t going to do this unknown player any favors.

Lio Rush

Lio comes onto The Challenge from the WWE, and while this has given him many impressive accolades, they might not help him in the game. As a wrestler, he’s likely very active, but that’s only part of The Challenge. He’s socially disconnected and has little experiences other than WWE wrestling. As a wrestler, he’s moderately successful but and has been featured in video games. He also likes to rap, so if the game doesn’t work out he might be able to snag a Joseph Allen collaboration.

Liv Jawando

Unlike most of the rookies this season, Liv actually appeared on a show with someone else: Big T. Both were on the UK show Shipwrecked where they were on opposing teams and didn’t really get along. Liv boasts that she’s loud and confrontational, two words that wouldn’t be used to describe Big T. Perhaps this will hurt Liv’s game, or maybe she’s learned a few things after losing her last show.

Lolo Jones

As a true athlete and Olympian, Lolo will intimidate most competitors. She has numerous accolades as a runner and hurdler, and also has a few reality shows under her belt. She competed on Champs vs. Pros where she won three eliminations (one against Ashley). Wes, Darrell, and Ashley might be familiar with Lolo, but she also has ties to Big Brother. She came in third on Celebrity Big Brother US 2, though she failed pretty badly on Dancing with the Stars.

Mechie Harris

Perhaps best known for Ex on the Beach 3, Mechie has a reputation as a player. He likes the ladies and they tend to like him. So this could be his strategy in the game, sleep his way to the end. He’s no stranger to controversy, but he doesn’t seem to be familiar with competitions. Most of his prior experiences come in the form of singing and screwing, but at least he knows Devin from Ex on the Beach.

Nam Vo

Coming from Ultimate Beastmaster, a show similar to Ninja Warrior, Nam is ready for the stunts you see on The Challenge. However, he doesn’t seem to have the same attitude as someone like Ninja. Nam is much more grounded and humble, which may benefit his game. While other competitors may not know him, he seems intimidating and calculating. He could go far, or he could be easy to pick off early in the season.

Natalie Anderson

Natalie actually won a season of Survivor then finished as a finalist on a second season (comprised of all winners!) With her Survivor winnings she dedicated herself to coaching Crossfit and mastering her fitness. She’s accustomed to doing well on reality TV and built a body that had other girls shaking. She comes into the game well-rounded, though her only connection may be with Jay. Despite this, she doesn’t seem like someone you’d want to test your luck against.
