The Challenge’s docuseries is airing, but are people watching?
- Episode 1: 216,000 viewers with a 0.11 rating in the 18-49 demo (cable rank #30)
- Episode 2: 209,000 viewers with a 0.9 rating in the 18-49 demo (cable rank #51)
These ratings aren’t strong, but it’s not the flagship show. This is really a passion project for the fans, and it is an interesting show to watch. So, the fact that it’s getting half of the ratings of Jersey Shore Family Reunion (441,000 viewers, 0.24 ratings last Thursday) is fairly impressive.
Do I expect ratings to increase? Probably not much, but hopefully Season 38 can do better. That show needs better ratings to be sustained. If this show doesn’t perform well, it won’t impact the future of the show.
