Initially, a fan asked if we can expect Laurel back on The Challenge.
Laurel responded by saying the show is hanging by a thread, and she thinks The Challenge is getting canceled. But, she doesn’t seem too heartbroken by this realization.
Based on her prior experiences, Laurel says she wants nothing to do with the show at the moment. She’s appreciative of the memories she’s made, but as far as another season, she could “take it or leave it.”
Keep in mind, Laurel is not the authority, and she’s not part of season 42. She might not be up to date on the latest Challenge news, especially while it’s undergoing a transformation. That doesn’t mean her comments are baseless; Laurel is a part of the franchise, and she knows a lot of people. She likely hears gossip about the show and has access to insider information.
We also need to keep in mind that Laurel — based on her own admission — isn’t too happy with the show at the moment. She’s clearly taking a pessimistic view of the show’s future, but it’s also not unrealistic.
Even Bananas has admitted that season 42 will be a make-or-break season, so we know that viewership is important this season. Laurel’s comments further confirm that, and if fans want to prove Laurel wrong, they need to tune in to season 42.
