Challenge champ and Johnny Bananas has been traveling the world for a number of reasons: he’s the host of First Look, he’s on The Challenge, and he has to keep Morgan happy. There’s one thing we’ll never find in his luggage: slippers.
Bananas appears on a Southern California news show on Feb. 21, 2020. On the show he talked about a bunch of lightweight topics such as snowboarding, his nickname, and his mother.
According to Bananas this time, he got his name because he shoved Bananas in his mom’s tailpipe so she could’t drive him to school. This is the first time I’ve heard this story, and I’ve heard a few stories about his nickname.
Then, his mom was Skyped into the show. She mentioned that she always gave Bananas slippers for Christmas, but Bananas never wanted them. His defense, he lived in Southern California, why would he wear insulated slippers? Fair enough point, even though he just spent a minute talking about how he grew up a skier but transitioned into snowboarding.
